1.
Consult with your doctor and get permission to use type B.
Before you start looking for a place to work, you should first check with your doctor to make sure there are no issues with you using Type B continuous employment support.
Inform your doctor that you are considering using Type B continuous employment support and ask for their opinion.

2.
Consult with a consultation support specialist
If you have a counselling support specialist, please speak to them.
If there is no counselor available, consult the social insurance and welfare department of your city, town or village office (the name of the department varies depending on the city, town or village).

3.
Apply for use at your local disability welfare office.
Once you find a facility you would like to use, apply for use at your local disability welfare office.
In order to use Type B continuous employment support, you will need a disability welfare service recipient certificate issued by your local government, so you will also need to go through the process of obtaining this certificate.

4.
Create a "Service Use Plan" and submit it to the counter.
Once you submit an application for use, the local government will ask you to prepare a "Service Usage Plan."
Local government officials will introduce you to designated specific consultation support providers who can provide advice on welfare services for people with disabilities, so you can create a plan with their support.
